Terry Reim has a diverse
background with more than 25 years of hands-on print and digital publishing experience,
including teaching and training. In addition to his many years as an editor and
writer in newspaper, magazine, trade book, textbook, and technical publishing,
Terry has also authored more than a dozen books of non-fiction. As a Web Producer since 1994, he has been responsible for creation, implementation, and management of many e-commerce and enterprise Web sites. As a consultant, Terry has installed networks for publishing companies and converted 4-color print magazines to electronic production, which included automating editorial, production, and sales departments, as well as training personnel. While Director of a California private boarding school, he taught math, English and horticulture for four years. He has also provided computer training to electronic assembly workers in a Just-in-Time manufacturing environment. For 3 years Terry was Managing Editor of DesertUSA, an online travel and adventure guide to the American Southwest. Recent positions include Director of Content Management for a Honolulu dot-com and Web Technical & Marketing Editor for a Silicon Valley software company. Terry studied for his liberal arts degree at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He engaged in advanced computer and natural history studies at Palomar College, UC San Diego, UH Maui and West Manoa. Terry is a certified geologist and archeologist. |
